Robin Jones

Robin was invited to join Mirus following his retirement as a Senior Manager with Nat West Bank in 1992.

After completing his O’ levels at Tregaron County School, Robin’s career began when he joined the old National Provincial Bank in Lampeter, Cardiganshire In 1950. Over the years he has moved many times in his job to, Ross on Wye, Cheltenham, Barry and Swansea, until achieving his first manager’s role in Llandaff in September 1974 .Three other appointments followed  in Barry, Regional Office and Chepstow, until his retirement in July 1992.

Robin has been married to Babs for 49 years and they have two daughters.

Robin, a welsh speaker was chair of Mirus for two years previously and now serves on the Mirus Finance Committee as well as the Board.
He is a past president of the Rotary club of Llandaff, and an active member or the Probus  Club. He continues to undertake audits for many Llandaff society accounts and is a well known in the community.
Robin is a keen gardener who enjoys reading and listening to good singers and choirs.

A long standing follower of welsh rugby,  Robin’s indifferent health has  now relegated him to watching games on the TV as his ‘girls’ have commandeered his WRU Debentures.
